oik is a set of plugins that ease the day to day creation of the very important but rather tedious content that is information about you, your company, your social networking ids and your website. oik is now available as a WordPress plugin from the Plugin Directory. Get oik

There are a number of component modules which can be activated as and when you need them.

oik – is the main plugin that provides shortcodes for use in posts and pages, titles and widgets. Many of these shortcodes use microformats to make the information search engine friendly. The output they produce can also be themed. You can specify a css file for your special theming.  oik also provides some standard styling based on blueprint CSS. In my websites this is used in conjunction with Artisteer generated themes to make the sites just a little different. You can now chose each oik shortcode when using the Visual editor.

oik-bob-bing-wide – provides special shortcodes for use in Bobbing Wide websites

oik-button-shortcodes – provides a button shortcode for Artisteer style buttons

oik-paypal-shortcodes – provides easy to code shortcodes for commonly used PayPal buttons

oik-sidebar – provides support for using the Widget Wrangler plugin with Artisteer v3 themes

oik-bwtrace – a plugin for developers – allows tracing of website activity to a separate file. This is still in its infancy, but it has been very useful in performing problem determination on other plugins, especially in the absence of a PHP debugger.

oik-email-signature – helps you create an email signature file to attach to all your outgoing emails. Great for marketing!

Note: For Drupal sites there is a bwapi module which will also be changed to oik in the near future.

oik and its dependent plugins
