I first saw the Fancybox slideshow on the WP Bees site, thought it looked quite nice so then did a search.
I thought that they were probably using FancyBox for WordPress(...) but there were 78 other plugins to choose from. Time to take a look at a shortlist of six.

I chose to try: easy-fancybox and fancybox-for-wordpress.
On activation easy-fancybox issued multiple Notices: Undefined index. So I deactivated it and tried fancybox-for-wordpress instead.
